About Fiona
I've been a qualified physiotherapist for over 17 years, working initially in private practice treating musculoskeletal injuries in Ireland and the UK, as well as in elderly care in beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand. Early on in my career, I also worked with local rugby teams and dance students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
I opened my clinic in Saffron Walden in 2013 in what was then Wilburs Gym, before relocating to my current space on Market Hill a few years later.
My journey into women’s health started in 2017 following the birth of my son and the realisation that us mums need a bit more post natal care! I am a Mummy MOT practitioner with a particular interest in treating women with pelvic floor dysfunction and abdominal separation. I complete regular post graduate training to ensure I stay up to date with the latest evidence to support women through all stages of life.
I have been teaching pilates for over 16 years and have trained with both STOTT and APPI. I teach small group matwork classes in and around Saffron Walden, and 1-2-1 matwork and reformer sessions from my clinic on Market Hill. I also run a post-natal rehab & restore class, ensuring mums get the best start returning to exercise after having a baby. I also teach group reformer classes at Contento Pilates in Cambridge. All of this is balanced out with the juggle that is being mum to 2 awesome boys!
